Family run campsite open for the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT)

Situated at Whelford Pools Fishery/Lakeview holidays just off the Whelford Road it offers a scenic and convenient base for your stay over the RIAT week. The Air show is within easy walking distance and the campsite has  great views of the planes overhead.  We also have plumbed toilets and showers with hot water!

The campsite resides in a beautiful field with plenty of space to pick a spot where you want and set up camp, if you seek a more secluded spot you can pick from one of our other more rural fields.

Please note that there is a Minimum 3 night stay. £50 deposit required when booking full payment on arrival
For Caravans and Motorhomes, if you require and electrical hook up this is £40 per night and you will need to go on the main field.

Pre booking is highly recommended.

Where is the campsite?

Our campsite is situated at Whelford Pools Fishery/Lakeview Holidays just off the Whelford Road, in the village of Whelford. It is about a 20 minute walk from the campsite to the entrance of the show.

Do you take caravans and motorhomes?

Yes we have limited space for Caravans and Motorhomes, as well as electric points, please confirm in your enquiry if you wish to bring one.

Can I drive in and out during the show?

We do not restrict vehicle movements but please bear in mind that the air show causes a lot of traffic in the area and the Police put in one way restrictions which could cause any journey made by vehicle a long one!

Can I bring pets?

I’m afraid at the moment we are not allowing pets.

Can I park next to my tent?

We have a designated stone car park which is situated next to the camping field.  If you wish to stay in one of the more rural fields we also have trolleys you can use to get your stuff there.

We are happy for you to park next to your tent in the more rural fields but please bear in mind this is at your own risk.  For most part of the year these are working fields 🙂

Can I pitch my tent next to my friends?

Yes you can as long as the first to arrive bags enough space for you both!

What time can I arrive at the campsite & when do I need to check out?

The onsite shop will be open from 6am each day. You are welcome to leave your tent up during the day you are planning to leave. We will be checking pitches each evening. If you would like to extend your stay beyond your original booking you will be welcome to pay cash on the day, suject to availability.

Can we have a BBQ

Yes, In the main field this can only be in the designated areas.  For the more rural fields we are more flexible.

What do I need to bring with me to check in?

Please bring your booking confirmation with you – either a print out or displayed on your phone/device. We will use this to look up your booking to check you in.

Do I have to pre-book or can I turn up and pay on the day?

Subject to availability, we will take bookings on the gate but we cannot guarantee space without prior booking. Book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Is there any electric hook up?

There is a limited number of electrical hook ups, please book early to avoid disappointment.

How do you take payment?

We can take payment by card over the phone or we can send you a payment link via our secure payments system.

Is payment secure?

At Lakeview Holidays we use Freetobook, freetobook is booking software used by accommodation providers to enable their customers to make online bookings and manage those bookings. Any payment information will be processed directly by secure PCI Level 1 compliant payment gateway providers.
